Tags
Tags in Titan Quest 2 (TQ2) are used to classify Skills, Modifiers, and Feats by their mechanics or properties. They allow players to understand what kinds of bonuses or interactions a skill might scale with or trigger.
Tags can appear on:
- Active Skills and Passive Skills
- Modifiers and Feats
- Equipment, Attributes, or Builds that scale certain effects
TQ2 Tags
These tags help describe what type of mechanic a skill uses (e.g., Spell, Aura, Channel), and they are also used by Modifiers and Passives to boost only specific types of actions.
Only tags that are **explicitly listed** in the infobox, or declared using **+Tag** syntax in a Modifier or Feat, are shown here.
Active
Explicit: A skill that must be placed on the hotbar and activated manually.
Amplify
Explicit: A stackable buff gained by spending Energy or using elemental skills. Amplify stacks scale damage, trigger effects, or are consumed for bonuses.
Area
Explicit: Affects multiple enemies within a defined zone.
Aura
Explicit: A persistent field around the player or allies that grants ongoing buffs or effects.
Blessing
Explicit: Self-targeted skill that temporarily boosts stats or power. Not sustained or aura-based.
Burning
Explicit: Applies Burning Damage over time. Some skills scale bonus damage if the target is already Burning.
Channel
Explicit: Skills that must be held or charged over time to produce continuous effects.

Lightning
Explicit: Applies to skills dealing Lightning Damage or applying Shock.
