Roiling Magma

Roiling Magma is an Active Earth Mastery Skill in Titan Quest 2 (TQ2) that deals Fire Damage and launches a Projectile that explodes on contact with enemies or obstacles in an AoE. It is somewhat slow moving compared to other Projectiles, but has 100% Ailment Chance making it good at setting Burning.

This skill is available by default when taking Earth Mastery, but you will need to spend 1 Skill Point in it to use it.


Titan Quest 2 Roiling Magma Guide

  • Because of it's 100% Ailment Chance, Roiling Magma always applies burning, so it can be a great combo opener when paired with Cremation Cremation and Combustion Combustion
  • Pair with Earthquake Earthquake or Ring of Flame Ring of Flame to build and consume Overwhelm effectively. Roiling Magma’s Overwhelm modifier grants a significant 20% boost to damage, AoE radius, and projectile speed when consumed
  • Grandeur turns Energy cost into bonus Fire Damage, rewarding high-Energy builds and stacking well with Arcane Abundance and Grand Magic.

Titan Quest 2 Roiling Magma Modifiers

Modifiers in Titan Quest 2 can change the way that certain skills work, and each one requires a certain amount of Capacity in order to slot it. Max Capacity increases as you place more and more Skill Points into any give skill, allowing you to slot more Modifiers further improving the chosen skill.

name has a maximum Capacity of 10. Each rank of a Modifier costs a certain amount of Capacity, so if you want more ranks of it, you will need more Capacity in order to improve it. It would take 3 Capacity to slot all 3 ranks of example modifer for example.

Fragmentation

1 3 On explosion the skill sends 6 to 9 rock fragments in all directions dealing Pierce Damage each.

+ 10 Energy Cost.

Overload

1 3 For every 30 Energy spent on use, deals 4% more Damage and you gain an Overload stack.

+ 10 Energy Cost.

Overwhelm

1 3 Consume full Overwhelm to deal 20% more Damage, 20% more Ailment Chance and 20% more Area Radius, 50% more Projectile Speed.
Grandeur 1 3 Explosion deals 3.8% of Energy spent on this skill as additional Fire Damage.

+10% of current Energy as Energy Cost.

Vortex

2 3 Does not explode on contact with enemies. Deals Fire Damage every 0.5s in a 2.0m radius.

Limit: 1 On use old orb explodes. 90% less Projectile Speed 50% less Projectile Range

Enhanced Ailment

1 3 50% more Ailment Chance

10% less Damage +10 Energy Cost
