How Poison Damage Works
Poison Damage is applied over a duration and can stack with itself and other damage types. While it does not hit as hard in bursts, it is ideal for prolonged encounters, enemy debilitation, and area control.
Associated Masteries
- Nature Mastery uses Poison Damage in many of its offensive skills, often coupled with Cold Damage to support debuff-heavy builds.
Rogue Mastery
may also specialize in Poison, especially in stealth or trap builds that apply Plagued.
Skills That Deal Poison Damage
- Toxic Spores is a Nature-based AoE that applies Poison and Plagued over time.
- Venom Trap is a likely Rogue ability that creates a Poison zone to deal stacking DoT. (Unconfirmed but probable)
- Poison Thorns could reflect Poison Damage back to attackers. (Unconfirmed)
Tips and Synergies
- Combine with Cold Damage to slow enemies while applying DoT.
- Stack Plagued to lower enemy resistances and amplify all incoming damage.
- Great for solo and kiting builds that require consistent ticking damage.
Notes
- Poison Damage is reduced by Poison Resistance.
- Duration effects are not interrupted by movement or defensive buffs.
- Plagued can reduce healing and resistance, creating strong synergy with other Ailments.
