Loot
Loot is the driving player motivation in Titan Quest 2 (TQ2). Enemies drop a wide variety of items including weapons, armor, jewelry, and consumables. Your character's effectiveness in combat is strongly influenced by the gear they equip, making loot an essential part of progression.

Loot Quality & Rarity in Titan Quest 2
Items come in several rarities. While Titan Quest 2 introduces new systems, based on prior Titan Quest games the following tiers may be expected:
Common
Standard items with no modifiers or minimal stats.
Magic
Items with 1 or more randomly rolled modifiers that grant additional stats or effects.
Rare
Improved magic items with multiple strong modifiers, sometimes including skill bonuses.
Epic (speculative)
Special versions of rare items with predefined affix pools or partial set bonuses.
Unique Weapons and Unique Jewelry
Predefined legendary items with custom stats, effects, and lore. These are often build-defining and extremely rare.
Drop Mechanics
Loot can drop from:
- Defeated enemies
- Bosses and named champions
- Chests and destructible objects
- Quest rewards
- Crafting (if crafting returns in TQ2)
Luck and Randomization
Item drops are affected by character stats and drop tables. Based on previous Titan Quest games, the following may apply (speculative):
- Higher Luck may increase the chance of Magic or Unique drops.
- Enemies may have weighted loot pools based on their region or type.
- Some bosses may have fixed chances to drop specific Unique Weapons or high-tier loot.
Loot Filters
Titan Quest 2 likely supports a loot filter system (as in TQ1 and Grim Dawn), allowing players to hide lower-tier drops.
Jewelry and Accessories
Rings
Rings offer flat stats, resistances, or utility effects. You can equip two at a time.
Amulets
Amulets are powerful sources of elemental resistance, cooldown reduction, or skill boosts.
Charms and Relics
Some items can be socketed or combined with charms (speculative). In TQ1, charms dropped in fragments and could be used to upgrade items with effects like lifesteal, poison resistance, or stat bonuses.
Item Modifiers
Items may roll with affixes that include:
- +% Damage (Physical, Fire, Cold, etc.)
- +% Resistances
- +Attributes (Might, Fitness, etc.)
- +Skill Levels
- +Energy or Energy Regen
- On-Hit Effects (Burning, Bleeding, etc.)
These modifiers often define the value and power of non-unique items and synergize with your Masteries and Skills.
Loot-Related Gameplay Tips
- Look for items that increase your primary damage type or ailment chance.
- Use your backhand weapon set to carry a secondary damage type or ranged option.
- Keep multiple rings and amulets to swap in for resistance challenges or bosses.
- Don’t forget to visit vendors regularly—powerful Magic items can appear in shops.
