Damage and Ailments Interaction

Each attack has an Ailment-Chance determining whether an Ailments is applied. The type of ailment applied depends directly on the damage type inflicted. Higher amounts of a specific damage type increase the likelihood of applying the corresponding ailment.

For example, the skill Flame Volley Flame Volley deals primarily Fire Damage, and has a high chance to apply the Burning ailment to enemies it hits. If the attack's Ailment-Chance exceeds 100%, it may apply additional stacks.

Critical Strikes and Damage Types

Critical Strikes significantly impact damage types, increasing both damage dealt and ailment application chance. Each attack calculates critical strikes based on base chance, weapon critical strike modifiers, gear bonuses, and skills. Attacks with a critical strike chance above 100% can achieve Supercrits, greatly amplifying effects and ailment application probability.
