Burning Guide for TQ2

How Burning Works

Burning applies a DoT effect based on your skill’s Fire Damage and Ailment Chance. It is effective for weakening enemies over time, particularly when applied repeatedly or in conjunction with control effects.

Associated Masteries

Example Attacks That Apply Burning

  • Flame Volley Flame Volley deals Fire Damage and will apply Burning when Ailment Chance succeeds.
  • Fissure Fissure deals Fire Damage and is capable of inflicting Burning over a wide area.
  • Ring of Flame Ring of Flame passively applies Fire Damage to nearby enemies, allowing for repeated Burning chances.

Tips and Synergies

  • Pair Burning with Stagger or Chilled to hinder enemy movement while the DoT ticks.
  • Enemies with low Fire Resistance are especially vulnerable to Burning-focused builds.
  • Maximize Ailment Chance to increase reliability of Burning applications.

Notes

  • Burning does not stack from the same source unless stated otherwise.
  • Fire Resistance directly reduces the damage dealt by Burning.
  • Skills that deal Fire Damage can apply Burning regardless of their primary function.
