Barrier Conversion Rate

Barrier Conversion Rate in Titan Quest 2 (TQ2) dictates the cost of the Barrier Skill (under Core Mastery) when equipping items or taking passives that provide Energy Barrier. The higher your Barrier Conversion Rate, the LESS Energy it will cost to use Barrier when you have any Energy Barrier. Free Barrier, on the other hand does not add Energy cost to Barrier, and is generally considered better in most cases, but not always.

You can improve your Barrier Conversion Rate via the Fast Barrier Modifier, the Storm Protection passive in Storm Mastery, and by gaining levels (0.15 per character level), lowering the Energy cost of the Barrier Skill.

To calculate the cost of the Barrier Skill you need only divide your total Energy Barrier by your Barrier Conversion Rate. Note that Free Barrier is not factored into the cost of Barrier, so do not include it.
